If you’re looking for an elevated omakase dining experience with exquisitely fresh fish and low-light ambiance, look no further than Domakase in Alphabet City, Manhattan. From seasonal white fish with finger lime and lemon pepper, to A5 Wagyu with pickled pearl onions and doma sauce, the sushi chefs at Domakase curated every piece with attention and masterful precision. As a special Valentine’s day treat, the chefs asked us what our favorite dishes were at the end of the 13-course meal, and very kindly prepared that dish for us. My boyfriend opted for the Foie Gras, duck liver torched with doma spices and generous, and I mean generous, shavings of truffle. My personal favorite: The Hotate, pieces of Hokkaido Scallop freshly drenched in made-on-the-spot brown herb butter, sprinkled with wasabi chips, and served in a pearlescent scallop shell. Though Domakase is an up-and-coming omakase establishment, their surge of success is no surprise. Check out their perfect reviews on Yelp here!
